Vocal Mechanics specialise in Contemporary Vocal Coaching for all ages. Owner Vanessa, is very dedicated to the healthy vocal development of students from beginners through to the more advanced – not only with the development of the voice but also the the development of the Performing Artist from songwriting to delivery.   

About Vanessa

Vanessa has been a professional performer in her own right for over 20 years working as a Contemporary Vocalist for Musical Theatre, Jazz and Blues, Blues Rock, A-cappella, Pop and Euro Pop. She has had Record contracts (Universal Records) and has toured and recorded internationally. She understands the demands on the Vocalist/Performer and the need for continued development and health to sustain a long career as a Performing Artist.

Vanessa trained at NASDA (National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art) in Christchurch of New Zealand. She has trained with Miranda Harcourt (Film and Screen Acting), Brita McVeigh (The Actors Truth), ICVT (International Conference for Voice Teachers) in Brisbane via the Conservatorium of Music and her role as Contemporary Vocal Coach at Otago University in Dunedin of New Zealand and of most recent Vanessa has completed her certification in Voice Pedagogy with Justin Stoney of New York Vocal Coaching – one of New Yorks most respected Vocal Coaches.
